Design Interiors was officially founded on January 26th, 1987 when Michael was able to base his newly created kitchen company in Brighton based department store Hanningtons. This was the home of Design Interiors until Hanningtons closed down in 2001. They moved to their Hove showroom shortly after, and two years later opened another shop in Haywards Heath. 14 years down the line in 2017, Design Interiors still operates from these two locations.
MICHAEL ROGERS – MANAGING DIRECTOR
I left school and worked for a local joinery company whilst doing an apprenticeship. It was from this young age that I discovered a love for interior design. I love building, and I love woodwork, and this is what inspired me to found Design Interiors. I have lived and worked across Europe, and this mix has helped me stay up-to-date and ahead of many design trends.
Interesting Fact: I once sailed 5000 km across the Atlantic from The Canary Islands to St. Lucia.

I moved to Sussex from the lake district 20 years ago, and I worked designing bespoke replica Georgian and Victorian furniture. I’ve been with Design Interiors for 12 years now, and variation is the key thing that I enjoy the most. Design Interiors offer so many different materials that each customer will walk away with something bespoke and unique, and I love helping them with that.
Interesting fact: I enjoy motorbiking and often visits different UK locations for mini breaks away. Recently I travelled through Europe on a motorbiking holiday with my husband.
Tim Brown – Designer
I’ve been working in professional design for 7 years now, and it all stems from my interest in sculpture and fine art. I feel accomplished in having installed nearly 700 bedrooms and 150 kitchens in my time. I love working at Design Interiors as design and installation is my passion. I get to bring my own skill set and creative license to each project, and I take pride in knowing that there’s a little bit of me in every design we do.
Interesting fact: I recently restored and re built a vintage vespa.
FAY BAMBLETT – KITCHEN & INTERIOR DESIGNER
I studied art & design for four years, and was originally a specialist in large-scale sculptures and installation art. Design is a real passion of mine, and I studied interior design at KLC. I've worked with some famous clients in the past and helped them achieve their dream interior design look. I take a huge amount of pride in seeing customers walk away happy.
